Teachers’ body threat

SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya Adhoc Secondary Teachers’ Association has threatened to boycott the assembly election 2013 and also all MBOSE related duties if the government fails to fulfill their demand by December 15. The decision was unanimously taken in the executive body meeting of the association held on November 24. The federation has been demanding from the State Government, an increase in their salary besides asking it to abide by the principles enshrined in the Constitution which says, “Equal pay for equal work”, non adherence of which would become a matter to be taken up in the court.
