MUMBAI: Late Bollywood veteran Rajesh Khanna’s family is being dragged to court by his alleged live-in partner Anita Advani.

Wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle and Rinke Khanna along with son-in-law Akshay Kumar had been summoned by Magistrate S S Deshpande of Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court early in November. On Tuesday, 4 December, the court will hear the family’s plea for interim relief.

Anita Advani has filed a private complaint in the court saying that Rajesh Khanna’s family are subjecting her to domestic violence. She has said that she has been evicted from the superstar’s Carter road home Aashirvad in Bandra.

Using Section 19 of the Domestic Violence Act, which states that “dispossessing or in any other manner disturbing the possession of the aggrieved person from the shared household whether or not the respondent has a legal or equitable interest in the shared household”, Anita hope to get a restraining order on her ‘dispossesion’.

She has said that “I have proof for all that I have claimed.

I am looking forward for the court hearing.” Anita is also looking for maintenance from the estate of Rajesh Khanna.

The court has suggested that both parties look for an amicable solution and is willing to appoint a mediator immediately, else, the matter will be heard and disposed off within a month. (Agencies)
