Employers asked to register for license

The Deputy Labour Commissioner, East Garo Hills district has informed that all principal employers and contractor employing inter-state migrant workmen numbering five and above in Meghalaya have to register themselves and obtain license from the State Labour Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills, respectively under the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Condition of Service) Act, 1979.
