Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides
The 16th Annual State Council Meeting of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, was held on Friday at the State Headquarters of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, Shillong. The State Executive Committee discussed on the steady growth in all the strategic priorities of the movement, with a growing upward trend both in Census, Finance, Adult Resources, Management and Communication.
Diploma course
The Institute of United Nations Studies Chapter in Meghalaya, will start the first batch of six months diploma course on the united nations international understandings, at the Institute of Hotel Management, Polo from December 15. In a statement issued here, the Executive Director of United Nations Resource Centre, AK Sarma said that the course is designed to impart knowledge about the United Nations and its specialised agencies.
Meeting
The Lympung Ki Seng Kynthei recently resolved to support the Meghalaya Right to Information Movement, in its struggle to have an independent and effective Lokayukta Act passed in the State for the benefit of all its citizens.
Workshop
A one day Workshop on e-Procurement for the Contractors of the Public Works Department, organised jointly by the National Informatics Centre and Public Works Department, will be held on December 3 at 10 AM at the Yojana Bhavan for sensitising the Contractors of Public Works Department about e-Tendering before implementation of the same at the Department.

One Prakash Limbo (38 M), a resident of Lapalang, Rynjah, who was admitted to Civil Hospital Shillong on November 27, passed away on November 29. Concerned relatives are requested to come and claim his body from the morgue, Civil Hospital Shillong, within three days, failing which, the body will be sent off for disposal.
