East Khasi Hills win cricket final

SHILLONG: In the final of the Under-25 Inter District Cricket Tournament, East Khasi Hills District Cricket Association defeated Shillong Cricket Association by six runs to lift the trophy.

SCA won the toss and elected to field first. East Khasi Hills scored 137-7 wickets in their 35 overs with Banpynshngain Dolloi top-scoring with a patient 32 runs.

Andrew Thabah and Tarique Sidique claimed two wickets each for SCA, who, in reply, scored 131 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 35 overs, with Sylvestar Myliempdah scoring 28 runs.

Bijon Dey claimed 3-28 for the winners.
