Skeletal remains
Skeletal remains of a suspected male was found from Nongkseh Rim, Shillong on Monday. The remains were examined by experts from FSL, Shillong and later sent to Civil Hospita Shillong for Post Mortem examination.
Funds misappropriation
One Greneth M. Sangma, who is the President of GSU, lodged a complaint at Baghmara PS that the Divisional Officer of Soil Conservation Division, Baghmara, South Garo Hills, had misappropriated Rs. 1,27,500/- meant for construction of a retaining wall along the Gona stream, South Garo Hills.
Assault/dowry case
One Raju Singh lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS, that on December 1, at about 2 pm, his mother-in-law and her family members had damaged furniture in his residence at Mawlonghat, Shillong and also assaulted his relatives.
One Sangeeta Kaur lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS, that on November, 30 at around 2 pm, her sister-in-law, Indra Kaur demanded dowry and also assaulted her at Mawlonghat, Shillong.
Theft
On November 30, some unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-4732) belonging to one Grambell M. Sangma from Rangdokram Baghmara South Garo Hills.
One Gredith Sangma lodged a complaint at Mendipathar PS, that on November 30, at about 10:40pm, four masked miscreants entered his house at Rongbu North Garo Hills and looted Rs. 30,000 at gun point.
Murder
On November 29 about 4 pm, one Tike Lama (44 yrs) murdered one Kopi Basumatary in a labour camp at Pdein Urim, Iapmala East Jaintia Hills.
Unclaimed body
On November 4, one unidentified male (40/45 yrs) was found lying unconscious with burnt injuries at Mawkhar, Shillong. He was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong, where he died on November 24.
Ladrymbai Police recovered one unidentified body from the roadside near Rymbai Bridge, along the Rymbai- Khliehriat Road on Monday morning. Sources informed that some unknown miscreants may have killed the person. There was an injury mark on the head. According to the police, the body seems to be of a non-tribal, aged around 30 years. The deceased was later taken to Khliehriat CHC for post-mortem examination.
