SHILLONG: Appreciating the High Level Committee on Influx for recommending implementing of Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the State, the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) on Wednesday said, “The ball is now
in the State government’s court”.
“We have a strong reservation whether the Government is really going to implement the ILP,” the KHNAM general secretary Adelbert Nongrum said in a statement.
According to Nongrum, the Government in the past had adopted a dallying tactic on ILP “which demonstrated its lack of concern for the indigenous population of the State.”
