Molestation and assault

Police have arrested one Korbar Lyngdoh (32) for allegedly molesting a minor girl (16) at Umlyngka, Upper Shillong on Sunday evening.

On December 8 at around 11 pm, one Jitendra Ram assaulted one Salim Khan (44) at Jhalupara, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.

One Promila Devi of Silchar lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on December 6, three unidentified miscreants assaulted her husband, Harikishor Singha, at Lad-Rymbai, East Jaintia Hills. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Silchar Medical College.

Abduction

Police arrested Robert Kharsati, Dany Dkhar, John Baglary and Zangal Kipgen in connection with a kidnapping case filed at Madanriting PS.

Rape

Police have arrested one Homelystone Kharnaior (21) for allegedly raping a minor girl (15) at 17th Mile, Byrnihat, Ri-Bhoi on December 7.

Theft and extortion

One P Synnah, Headman of Madankynsaw Mookyndeng, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on December 5, one Royal Stone Syngkon stole cash and cell phones from his residence at Madankynsaw Mookyndeng.

Police have arrested one Ringban Momin (25) in connection with an extortion case registered at Mendipathar PS.
