SHILLONG: The National People’s Party (NPP) has dared NCP to suspend Agatha Sangma for campaigning for NPP.
The NPP has already announced that Agatha, the Tura MP from NCP, will be one of the campaigners of the party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
The NPP leader Conrad Sangma said the party was not bothered about any action on the part of NCP against Agatha for campaigning for NPP.
The aggressive stand of NPP follows the recent exit of Agatha from the Union cabinet as a fall out of the decision of her father PA Sangma to contest the presidential polls defying the directive of NCP in July last.
After Sangma did not get the support of NCP during the presidential polls, he formed NPP, but the main activities of the party are concentrated in Meghalaya.
