Itanagar: BJP national president Nitin Gadkari on Thursday called upon the people of Arunachal Pradesh to elect BJP candidates in the coming Assembly election by dethroning the Congress government for the sake of all round progress and to make this naturally rich tribal state a corruption free clean state.

Addressing the Jara Yaad Karo Kurbani Rally held at Mopin-Solung ground here with the theme – ‘1962 – Never again’, organized by state BJP unit, in memory of thousands of soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their motherland during 1962 Chinese war in Arunachal sector, the national president said that the state has tremendous potentiality for the development of tourism, mineral and forest which are abundantly available in the state by ‘god gifted’.

Stressing his view Gadkari in his maiden visit to this tribal state said that tourism is a most important sector from which state could earn huge revenue by facilitating its infrastructure.

By the development of this sector about 49 per cent of job opportunities for unemployed youths in the state could be solved, he observed.

The state has lack of road communication facility which is important for the development of tourism, he said, adding, it is also important to bring investment and opening up of industry in the state.

Despite this enormous potentiality, the people of the state are so poor because of wrong plan and policy of the Congress ruled government in the state, he alleged.

Communication is one of the most vital sides for the development, he said lamenting neither has the state railway link nor the airport facility without these facilities nobody will come to invest in the state.

“We have a concrete vision and mission to generate more employment opportunities for the country’s educated and unemployed youths,” he said. (UNI)
