NEEPCO official held for possession of heroin

SHILLONG: A senior manager of NEEPCO, Peter Lalthlamuana,40, was on Thursday arrested by the police for possession of 1.17 grams of heroin.

According to police, Lalthlamuana, a consumer, was arrested from Madanrting for the possession of drugs. However, the drug peddler managed to escape.

Police said that they are looking for many suppliers of drugs to check the trend of large scale consumption of narcotics in and around Shillong. Lalthlamuana was forwarded to judicial custody.
