SHILLONG: The Executive Members of the Dorbar Shnong Shella has denied allegations leveled against the former secretary of the Dorbar Shnong Shella Tobias Tiewdop by the Acting Wahadadar of Shella Confederacy Wallamphrang Lyngdoh Mawphlang stating the allegations as ‘baseless’ and ‘unfounded’.
They stated that the Acting Wahadadar has no rights interfering into financial matters of the dorbar shnong. “As per the rules of the dorbar, only the dorbar has the rights to look into matters relating to funds”, Assistant Secretary of Dorbar Shnong Shella Edibor Chyne said.
Chyne also said that during the time when Tiewdop was the Secretary of the Dorbar Shnong Shella, the Dorbar has benefitted a lot and in one year, the dorbar used to have a systematic way of functioning be it administration and account. “So the question of misappropriation does not arise”, he added.
