 New Delhi: Meghalaya on Saturday night received the prestigious IBN7-Outlook sponsored “Diamond State Awards” as top emerging small state for its overall achievement besides economic growth. The Resident Commissioner of Meghalaya House Pankaj Jain received the award on behalf of the state in a glittering function held at Taj Palace Hotel here. Originally, the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma was to attend the function and receive the award but cancelled his visit due to some pressing work.
