SHILLONG: The ANVC (B) has alleged that the State Government was protecting GNLA by providing them shelter besides financial help.
In a statement issued to the media, the ANVC (B) Chairman, Rimpu Marak on Thursday said that there is an understanding between the State Government and the GNLA and the State police is acting against ANVC(B) with assurance for rewards and promotion from the Government.
According to Marak, the ANVC (B) stood for what they believed in and their cadres are determined “to get things settled no matter how much the political leaders pull their string before the elections”.
Reacting to reports regarding the police hunt for him, the ANVC leader said: “We know about the hunt and we are unmoved by it. We will overcome every hurdle to make sure that there is a permanent solution and our people get what they deserve. Our dues have to be cleared before the elections else there is every possibility of things going wrong”.
