Several injured in separate accidents across State

SHILLONG: A TATA Indica (ASO1H – 5181) travelling towards Tura from Garobadha went off the road and into a drain after it hit a tree on the side of the road at Mukdangra under Selsella Block, West Garo Hills on December 25 at 8:49 P.M. The injured, Babu Lohar (33) and Mangal Burman (40) were shifted to Civil Hospital, Tura.

A motorist and a pillion rider sustained injuries when they fell off the motorbike (MLO8B – 5912) after losing their balance near Government Boys School at Chandmari, Tura on December 25 at 9:33 A.M.

The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Tura helped in shifting Raktak Marak (24) and Senbira Sangma (18) to Civil Hospital, Tura.

A driver of an auto rickshaw sustained injuries when the vehicle overturned on a turning at Asanang under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on the December 25 at 4:15 A.M. The injured, James Ch. Marak (20) was taken to Civil Hospital, Tura. The auto rickshaw was travelling towards Tura when the incident took place.

In another auto rickshaw related accident reported from Kreit under Mawphlang Block, East Khasi Hills, four people sustained injuries when the vehicle went off road on December 24, at 10:12 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Mawphlang helped in shifting Pynwanlang Langstieh (22), Kyrshan Kharbih (18), Firstborn Lyngdoh (21) and Shanskhem Sangriang (16) to Civil Hospital, Shillong. The auto rickshaw was travelling towards Mawkriah from Mawngap when the incident took place.

A motorist sustained injuries when the motorbike travelling to Dadenggre from Tura was involved in an accident with a truck near the Fire Service Office at Rongram on December 24 at 8:41 P.M. The injured, Riwat B. Marak (30) was shifted to Civil Hospital, Tura.

A truck travelling towards Mawryngkneng hit a wall on the side of the road at Nongtraw Bridge on the Shillong By-Pass road. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Bhoirymbong helped in shifting Kor Phawa (25) and Bantei Shylla (21) to Civil Hospital, Shillong. The incident happened on the December 24, at 3:29 P.M.
