Govt to move Alliance Air

 SHILLONG: Following the decision of Air India’s subsidiary Alliance Air to suspend its operation in the Northeastern states including Umroi Airport from January 1, the state government has decided to request the Alliance Air authorities to continue the service.

Informing this here on Saturday, the State Transport minister AT Mondal said that the State Government wants to have better connectivity in the state at any cost.

Alliance Air has decided to stop all its operations in the three airports it operates from – Umroi, Tezpur, Lilabari, as the NEC has not paid its dues amounting to over hundred crores

According to Mondal, the government would also request the DoNER ministry and the Alliance Air to sort out the problems.
