SHILLONG: Lawmali SCC defeated United XI CC by a convincing margin of eight wickets to qualify for the Super Round Robin League of the Super Division Shillong Cricket League, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at Polo Grounds.
United XI won the toss and elected to bat first, but they were only able to make 125 all out in 37.1 overs.
Steven Lyngdoh scored 25 while Purna Joshi took three wickets for just seven runs.
In reply, Lawmali scored 128 runs for the loss of two wickets in 30.2 overs.
On the back of his bowling performance, Joshi scored 51 not out, while Bishen Thapa took 1-38.
TnT Sputnik will take on Lumdiengjri SCC in the next match.
