French Classes
Connaissance will be introducing French Language Classes from January 7 at Raigorh Annexe (near Vishal Market), Jail Road. The innovative course will be taught by Subasis Sen who has been a resident of France for more than 10 years.
Office bearers
The Lummawbah Sport and Cultural Club recently elected new office bearers for the year 2012-2013. Lostarwell Marbaniang was named the president, Ambrose Khongshun the vice president, Bawanlang Wanswett was named the general secretary.
The Lumparing Puja Mandap Committee recently elected new office of the committee with Bijit Dey as the secretary, Ranjit Dey as the president, Bimal Kar as the treasurer, Jogodish Ch Dey as the vice president.
Protest
The residents of Mawbah (Barapather) on the initiative of the Dorbar Shnong Mawbah, undertook a protest march in silent procession in the locality on Wednesday against the recent spate of gang-rapes and molestation of women and children across the country.
General meeting
The Meghalaya Agricultural Technical Government Employees’ Service Association (MATGESA) will hold its general meeting on January 18 at the conference hall of the Directorate of Agriculture, Cleve Colony at 3.30 pm to elect new office bearers.
The Shillong Agri-Horticultural Society will hold its general meeting on January 11 at the conference hall of the Directorate of Agriculture, Cleve Colony at 4pm to elect new office bearers.
