Alleged dacoit apprehended
On January 5 at 1:30 am, residents of Camari village (WGH) under Tikrikilla Police Station apprehended and assaulted one Anwar Hussain (40), while he and his accomplices attempted to commit dacoity in the village. One country-made revolver with three rounds of live ammunitions and one SBBL gun was recovered from the spot. As a result, the accused sustained injuries and has been admitted in a hospital.
Arrest for attempted murder
On January 3, police arrested three persons, Deimonmi Dkhar, Jar-I-Sngiaw Dkhar and Santious Dkhar from Barato village (WJH), in connection with an attempted murder.
Assault
Anavalin Kharsyntiew, Secretary , Seng Longkmie New Nongstoin lodged a complaint at Nongstoin police Station that on January 1 around 2:15 pm, one Arjun Nongsiej assaulted and threatened a Member of the Seng Longkmie Krial Lyngdoh, while they were conducting a vice raid at Iew Nongstoin (WKH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.
Stealing
One Phandingstar Wahlang lodged a complaint at Nongstoin Police Station that on December 29, midnight, unknown miscreants stole 12/13 tonnes of coal from his depot at Sohpian (WKH).
