Meeting

Taking cognizance of the growing atrocities against women, the Lympung Ki Seng Kynthei will hold a meeting to discuss matters concerning the safety of women in the State at Don Bosco Youth Centre on Tuesday at 4 pm. In a statement issued here on Monday, LKSK president Theilin Phanbuh has urged upon the NGOs, etc to participate in the meeting.

Appointment

The Pynthorumkhrah Assembly Youth Congress recently appointed Evalari Nongrum as the working president of the Umkdait Polling Booth Youth Unit following the recent resignation of its working president, AS Iawphniaw.

Seminar

Two members of the Meghalaya Association of Kickboxing Organization (MAKO) took part in the recently concluded WAKO Asian Referee/ Judges Seminar at Srystal-II Orchid Hotel, Pune. The two members included Donny Raphael Ranee and Gemansingh Warjri.Ranee also took part as the International Referee/ Judge in the Wako Asian Kickboxing Championship.

The Dorbar Shnong Lawsohtun recently elected new members for the year 2013 with Tonwell Rynjah as the Rangbah Shnong, Lamkhraw Kharbuli as the secretary, Devison Swer as the assistant secretary, Heriberth Rynjah as the treasurer, Mitchel Wankhar as the Adviser among others.
