Independent MLAs resign

SHILLONG: Following the allotment of the Congress tickets, Independent legislators Limison Sangma and AT Mondal, who is also the Power Minister, resigned from the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly on Monday.
While Limison Sangma will contest from Raksamgre constituency in West Garo Hills, Mondal is seeking mandate from Phulbari.
Earlier, Adviser Pariong (HSPDP), who also got the Congress ticket, resigned as MLA to contest from Nongstoin.
