Body

On the evening of January 12, an unidentified decomposed body (15/25 M) was recovered from a jungle at Umraleng under Umiam PS, Ri Bhoi district. Necessary formalities have been observed and investigation is on.

Theft

One Birbal Singh Choudhury, Manager of HPCL Petrol Pump lodged a complaint at Nangalbibra PS that on the evening of January 7, unidentified armed miscreants looted Rs. 26,500 and six mobile phones from the petrol pump at Rongkandi South Garo Hills.

Police arrested two minor boys, one 11 year-old and another 10 year- old in connection with a theft case under the Mawlai Police Station.

One Phosturwell Jitem lodged a complaint at the Shillong Sadar PS that on the morning of January 14, unknown miscreants broke into Synjuk Wahingdoh LP School and stole nine sacks of rice and one Halogen heater. Matter is under enquiry.

Assault

One Bablu R Marak, a Jailor in the Shillong District Jail, lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on September 9, 2012 a UTP Shanborlang Wahlang assaulted one F Wahlang at the Jail Premises, Shillong.
