SHILLONG: As part of celebrating the Meghalaya Year of Youth, the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Shillong, in collaboration with the State Sport and Youth Affairs Department on Thursday inaugurated the Inter District Integration Camp at the Youth Hostel.
The Inter District Integration Camp was attended by over 150 youths from many districts of the state and the same was also witnessed by the youths from District Zero, Arunachal Pradesh.
The Inter District Integration Camp was inaugurated by the director of Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs FM Dopth, in the presence of RPS Thakur, the Zonal Director NYKS-Meghalaya Zone besides other members of the NYKS.
Addressing the gathering, Dopth lauded the efforts of NYK for organising such a unifying programme for the youth; also informing that very soon, the state government will implement the State Youth Policy which will go a long way in addressing youth-related issues besides promoting their skills and talents.
