Forces to arrive on Feb 2

 SHILLONG: As many as 10 companies of central paramilitary forces will arrive in State on February 2 for the February 23 polls, an official said on Tuesday. The State Government had projected deployment of 76 companies of central paramilitary forces for election duty. According to the official, the Centre is likely to grant all the 76 companies to the State. The paramilitary forces, drawn from both the CRPF and BSF, will be mostly deployed in Garo Hills, the official said, adding that the remaining men will be deployed in a phase manner.
