SHILLONG: The UDP has decided to field a young political activist Susanna D Marak in Phulbari constituency. Informing this here on Thursday, UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh said the party is expected to release the final list of candidates on February 8. With Phulbari, the UDP has so far announced candidates for 47 constituencies. Congress has put up Power Minister AT Mondal in Phulbari. The UDP will contest 35 out 36 seats in Khasi Jaintia Hills except Nartiang constituency. In Garo Hills out 24, the party will field candidates in all the constituencies. So far 13 candidates have been finalized for Garo Hills.
