SHILLONG: Governor RS Mooshahary on Saturday said that the new Government in the State should work seriously towards resolving the inter-State border dispute with Assam.

“The new Government should work seriously towards resolving this long festering issue,” Mooshahary said while addressing the Republic Day function here.

The Governor said that an understanding needs to be reached in order to alleviate the hardship faced by people living in the pockets where differences exist over the alignment of the inter-State boundary.
