The following table, raised on public feedbacks, outlines the present status in most of the constituencies

lAll constituencies are affected by bad roads, lanes, drainage system and sanitation. Shillong South and West constituencies are found to have better drainage system in place.

lWater scarcity is rampant in parts of Shillong South and East whereas moderate scarcity is found in every constituency.

lPDS supply is comparatively better in Shillong West where the local sitting legislator is not taking his salary and contributes the same for delivering BPL beneficiary items. The legislator of this constituency also maintains transparency in spending public money in booklet form found nowhere else in the other constituencies in the city.

lIn most constituencies paraffin supply is done clandestinely without any prior notice and mostly at night so that many are not aware.

lAll constituencies are hit by lack of street lights though Shillong South is comparatively better then others.

lShillong West is the most congested and haphazard constituency followed by Shillong East where traffic problem is rampant with roads and lanes are largely damaged too.

lNongthymmai comes third with its congestion and traffic menace.

lPublic transport service is best in Shillong East as compared to other parts of the city.

lPynthorumkhrah has been voted as one of the most underdeveloped constituencies.

lAll constituencies enjoy a nearby hassle free power supply except for the ‘dry seasons’ of the year.
