SHILLONG: Venom Speed CC defeated Langsning SCC by a solitary wicket in a First Division league match of the Shillong Cricket League 2012-13, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at Polo Grounds.
Langsning won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 134 all out in 28 overs.
Sandy scored at better than a run-a-ball, his 38 runs coming off just 33 deliveries, while Prakash took five wickets for 24 runs from seven overs.
In reply, Venom Speed made 136 for the loss of nine wickets in 32 overs.
Prakash scored 18 off 16 balls, while Eugene took three for 34 runs.
In the other match of the day, Lumpyngngad SCC defeated Megha SC by a comfortable margin of 23 runs.
Lumpyngngad were all out for 135 and then bundled out Megha SC for 112 runs. Barry and Vishal took three wickets apiece.
In the next match Aparajita will take on Keating Road.
