SHILLONG: The Civil Society Women’s Organization (CSWO) on Friday expressed resentment over the way the Prosecuting Inspector of the court was allegedly trying to hide the police report on the status of the inquiry into the primary teachers’ recruitment scam in the State which was initiated after an FIR filed by Angela Rangad of the Meghalaya Right To Information Movement (MRTIM) and CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing in this regard.

The report of the Investigation Officer was to be submitted to the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate on Tuesday.

“It is unfortunate that the police are trying to protect those responsible in tampering the marks of the deserving candidates,” Kharshiing said on Friday.

Kharshiing also urged the East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police to take serious note of the cases against ‘big influential people’ so that the citizens do not lose hope in the system and that the organizations do not have to take all cases related to scams to the Court.
