Megha CC, Langsning win by large margins in SCL

SHILLONG: Megha CC defeated Aparajita CC by 89 runs in a First Division league match of the Shillong Cricket League, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at Polo Grounds.

Megha won the toss and elected to bat first. They put up a commanding total of 208 for the loss of nine wickets in 35 overs. Ganesh Biswa scored 40 runs off 38 balls while Palab Das took two wickets for 31 runs.

In reply, Aparajita were dismissed for a score of 119 in 32.1 overs. Akash Dutta was the best performer, scoring 36.

Meanwhile, Langsning SCC defeated Nongrim Hills SCC by 94 runs.

Langsning scored 189-7 in 30 overs. Michael Mawkdoh scored 52 runs off 39 balls and Javed Jyrwa scored 46, while Honorius Nongrum took 4-39.

In reply, Nongrim Hills were bowled out for just 95 runs in 28.1 overs. Shanbor scored 18, while Augustin Warjri took 5-15 runs and Wallam Marngar took 3-21.
