One person died on the spot while two others sustained injuries, when the jeep they were travelling on was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction at Umroi Pyllun under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District on February 5 around 10:30 pm. The injured Ibansistim Biam (25, M) and Bankitlang Rapsang (13, M) were admitted at Shillong Civil Hospital.
A motorist sustained injuries after falling off the scooter when it skidded at Mawiong Rim, Shillong on February 5 at 3 pm. Marshal Shylla (53, M) was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance helped to shift the victims to the hospital.
