SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills district administration will grant permission to Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) and other NGOs to hold a black flag march on February 8 from the KSU office in Jaiaw to the Secretariat as a mark of protest against the brutal killing of two innocent men posted in Williamnagar Jail.

Informing this here on Wednesday, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal said the district administration will grant them permission to carry out the march provided it is peaceful.

The KSU along with other local NGOs have called for the black flag march starting at 10am and hope to meet Chief Secretary WMS Pariat to demand action against the brutal killing of the two policemen.

Meanwhile, the KSU Nongthymmai Circle has invited all the resident of Nongthymmai and its adjacent localities to gather at Jingkieng Nongthymmai at 9am and move towards the KSU office at Jaiaw to take part in the black flag march.
