The Central Observers for North Garo Hills District have arrived at Resubelpara and are lodged in the Circuit House, here, informed W Khyllep, Deputy Commissioner (Election).

Interested individuals or parties or candidates having complaints, suggestions or reports relating to conduct of elections in the district may contact the General Observer Parrag Jain Nainutia at 9422273210/8415097901 and 03659-268394; and Law & Order Observer Shankar Jiwal at 9003096566/8415097903 and 03659-286391.

The Central observers for South West Garo Hills have arrived and are camping in Ampati Circuit House. General Observer Gautam Ghosh will meet the public on every working day from 10:30am to 11:30am in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ampati and may be contacted at 03651-261212 and 8415897295.

Expenditure Observer P Mohan Rao can be contacted at 8415897294 and Police Observer Harish Kumar Gupta at 03651-261204 and 8415077930.

Further, the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer for 53-Ampati and 54-Mahendraganj constituencies, Ram Singh can be contacted at 03651-261723, 9485034201 and 9856070815, while ADC & Returning Officer for 55-Salmanpara may be contacted at 03651-261213 and 94361-06577.

An election control room has been set up in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ampati with telephone no. 03651-261233 which is operational 24 hours a day.

The General Observer, Police Observer and Expenditure Observer for 58-Rongara Siju, 59-Chokpot and 60-Baghmara constituencies of South Garo Hills District have arrived in the district. Any grievances by any person or candidates or political parties may be forwarded to the Observers directly by phone or through personal visits at Room No. 3, Circuit House, Baghmara between 11am to 1pm. A toll free number 03658-1950 has been set up for election purpose in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, East Garo Hills.

Sanjay Prasad, Principal Secretary, Gujarat, has been deputed as the General Observer for East Garo Hills District. He can be contacted in the phone number 0997 840 6348 and is available in Circuit House, Williamnagar.

South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Chinmay P Gotmare has, through a communiqué, issued a notification to all political parties and contesting candidates restricting the printing of pamphlets and posters during the ensuing Assembly election in the State, under the provisions of Section 127A of the Representation of People Act, 1951.
