2 more candidates withdraw papers

SHILLONG: Two Independent candidates withdrew their nomination papers on Friday.

The candidates, H Simon Siangshai (Nartiang) and Mankara Pathaw (Jirang) have decided to withdraw from the fray.

With this, the total number of candidates contesting the February 23 polls stands at 349.

The last day of withdrawal of nomination is Saturday.
