JOWAI: UDP (United Democratic Party) candidate from Raliang constituency, Konstan Sungoh, on Friday began his election campaign starting from his native Nangbah village. The meeting was attended by a large crowd estimated at around 5000 approximately. Party District Secretary, LD Lakiang, former President Mahila Pradesh Congress Rita MV Lyngdoh, JHADC MDC Edmund Speakerson Lyngdoh, former MDCs, Bison Iano and Shemhok Garod were also present in the meeting beside other prominent supporters of Sungoh from across the Raliang Constituency.

Addressing the public meeting, Sungoh said,” If I am elected I will bring all-round development to Raliang constituency”.

Sungoh has to defeat the confusion amongst his fellow villagers as two more candidates- including HSPDP candidate, Gerald Pasi and Emboklang Dkhar (IND) of the same village will divide the stronghold of the UDP
