SHILLONG: The State Chief Secretary WMS Pariat may attract the provisions of model of conduct as one of his close relatives is contesting the February 23 Assembly elections.

Parit’s brother-in-law Lamboklang Mylliem is contesting the Assembly elections from Jirang constituency in Ri Bhoi on the newly-formed North East Social Democratic Party ticket.

It may be mentioned that the Nagaland Chief Secretary and his wife, who is an additional chief secretary, went on leave on February 9 as per the direction of Election Commission since their son is contesting the Assembly polls there.

However, in case of Pariat, the EC is yet to intervene.
