Bangalore: A city court on Saturday took serious objection to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi for not appearing before it despite being summoned and adjourned the case for March 1 and directed him to appear personally in connection with a criminal case for alleged hate speech.
Two advocates Dileep Kumar and Dharmapal had filed a complaint before the court over the hate speech incident reported at Nirmal town due to which Owaisi had already been under judicial custody in Andhra Pradesh, now out on bail.
Owaisi had requested an exemption from being present in court on account of a medical complaint. (PTI)
