Counting in 13 centres

 SHILLONG: Counting of votes will be carried out in 13 centres all over the State on Thursday.

The counting will start at 8 am and the results will start trickling in after an hour. The results of all the 60 constituencies will be known by 12 noon, officials said.

Chief Electoral Officer P Naik on Sunday said that the 13 counting centres are located in all the eleven district headquarters and Mairang and Sohra.

91 companies of paramilitary forces will remain on alert during the counting day to avoid any untoward incidents.

The EVMs of East Khasi Hills district, except those of Sohra, are kept at a strong room in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Polo with additional security and round the clock surveillance.
