Jaipur: The Opposition BJP members on Tuesday protested against the Rajasthan government’s “failure and mishandling” of the situation rising out of increasing casualties from swine flu and staged a walk out from the State Assembly on Tuesday.

The issue rocked the Assembly during zero hour when BJP Chief Whip Rajendra Singh Rathore raised the issue and wanted the government to take effective measures to address the situation.

Many members from the Opposition benches including Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria joined in condemning the government.

They wanted detailed statement from the govenment over the action taken, plans and strategy to deal with the situation effectively. Since there was no response to their insistence from Treasury Benches the “unhappy” Opposition members proceeded to the well. (PTI)
