SHILLONG: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has approved a Vote on Account of Rs 15.96 crore for the first quarter of the 2012-2013 on the final day of the budget session on Friday.

The fund allocation which was earmarked in the Vote on Account included Rs 4.89 crore for the General Administration Department, Rs 1.21 crore for Forest Administration Department and Rs 87.28 lakh for Revenue and Finance Department.

The Council’s full budget of the year 2013-2014 is expected to be presented at the end of the first quarter in June.

“The vote on accounts for the three months starts from April 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013,” CEM Pynshngain N Syiem said, adding, “The full budget allocation would be put forth until the next session which will be held in the month of June.”
