Laloo starts cracking

New Delhi: The DoNER Ministry on Friday sanctioned nearly two crore rupees from the Non-lapsable Central Poll of Funds for the Khileshtyrshi road which will meet Jowai Bypass in Jaintiya Hills District.

This was announced by the DoNER Minister, Pawan Singh Ghotwar when former Minister and newly elected MLA Dr.R.C Laloo met him here along with former Union Minister Vincent H Pala. “This is my post poll gift to the people of Jowai,” an elated Laloo said.

The 4.03 km road project will involve metalling and blacktopping of the road from Khliehtysrshi (near ATS) to Jowai bypass. The exact amount sanctioned is Rs 191.14 lakh during the financial year 2012-13 and the funds will be released immediately.
