Theft cases

On March 9 around 1.30 pm, one Sunil Biswas (19) was apprehended while he was attempting to steal pipes at Arch Bishop House, Laitumkhrah.

On Mar. 8 at about 10.30 am, one Rusell N. Sangma (21) raped a woman (18 at Nongrimbah, Laitumkhrah. Police arrested the accused.

On March. 8, miscreants stole vehicle batteries and a connector of an excavator belonging to M/s Infraproject Ltd., at Mawkhanu (EKH) valued around Rs. 2,10,000.

On March 4 around 11.30 pm, miscreants stole cables from a mobile tower at Pdengblai, Raliang, West Jaintia Hills

Rape

On March 8 at about 10.30 am, one Rusell N. Sangma (21 yrs) raped a woman (18 yrs) at Nongrimbah, Laitumkhrah. Police arrested the accused.

Recovered

On March 8, Police recovered thirteen out of the forty-three solar plates which were stolen (Aug. 10, 2012) from Raj Bhavan, Shillong. In this connection, Police also arrested two persons, (1) Boga Ali (30 yrs) and (2) Banis Ali (25 yrs).

Arrest

On March 7 around 10 am, Kharkutta Police along with army conducted joint operation at Rajasimla and arrested two persons, Grenhin Marak (40) and Welsing D. Marak (20) and recovered five 12-Bore guns and one 12-Bore muzzle loading gun.

Assault

One Sonwar Islam lodged a complaint at Phulbari police station that on March. 4 at about 9 pm, four persons, Dr. Amion Nongrum, Atowar Rahman, Jolil Sheikh, Babu Ansari and others went to his quarter at Jedulpara in West Garo hills and assaulted him with lethal weapons and looted Rs.5,700/- from him. The miscreants also threatened him with dire consequences. Earlier, Dr. Amion Nongrum of PHC, Jedulpara lodged a complaint at Phulbari police station that on March 1 at around 4 pm, five persons, Sonwar Islam, Abdul Akher, Abdul Ali, Manirul Islam and Rezaul Lablu armed with lethal weapons went to his house and disturbed him by burning fire crackers. When the complainant objected, they broke open the door of his house at Jedulpara (WGH) and threatened him with dire consequences.

Threat

Biswajit Debnath, Accountant of CEC. Pvt., Ltd., lodged a complaint at Saipung police station that on March 4, four persons, Phunuwel Tongper, Thio Suchiang, Jimi Salahe and Darius Bamon obstructed, manhandled and also threatened the truck drivers with dire consequences, while they were transporting boulders from Lukha River at Kuliang (EJH) to a construction site of Indo-Bangla border fencing.
