Bridge collapses, commuters left stranded

 WILLIAMNAGAR: Hundreds of commuters on the Tura – Williamnagar National Highway were left stranded for several hours on Friday as the main bridge connecting the two district headquarters collapsed under tension while a heavy crane was plying over it.

The bridge collapsed slowly taking along with it the crane, its driver and an occupant.

The driver and the other occupant of the crane sustained injuries.
