SHILLONG: The FKJGP has condemned Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma’s statement that he didinot receive any report from the High Level Committee on Influx.

“This is the ploy of the Chief Minister to mislead the house,” FKJGP president Joe Marwein said while stating that the Committee which was notified on September 4, 2012, met five times and decided to send a report to the State Government highlighting the need to implement the Inner Line permit to tackle the problem of influx which is on the rise in the state.

The FKJGP also extended its gratitude to the Opposition party for raising the issue in the House while reminding Dr Sangma, the Chief Minister of the then government about the recommendations made by the committee.
