The Meghalaya Church Leaders Co-Ordination Committee on Education has expressed their appreciation to the State Government for its positive response to their request by rectifying certain anomalies of the RTE Act, 2009 before implementation in Meghalaya. However, the Committee is awaiting a dialogue with the Chief Minister at the earliest possible while hoping that status quo in education will prevail and that Section 21 of the Act pertaining to the composition of the School Management Committee, be kept in abeyance.
