SHILLONG: Along with other students’ unions of the north east, the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) and the Garo Student’s Union (GSU) will hold a sit-in protest here on Monday to demand immediate fulfillment of North East Students’ Organisation’s (NESO) charter of demands which includes effective measures to check infiltration.
The sit-in demonstration will be held near Raj Bhavan at 1 pm. The NESO had submitted the demands to the Prime Minister earlier and the decision to hold the demonstration was taken recently after the students’ organizations met to discuss issues concerning the region.
