NONGPOH: Sensing foul play over the threatening letter to Umroi legislator Ngaitlang Dhar, the Civil Society Women Organization (IH) has demanded an independent investigation over the entire episode so that the truth is eventually revealed.

In a press communiqué signed by CSWO (I) president Irene Hujon and general secretary Christabell Wanniang, the organization has expressed shock over the issuing of a threatening letter to Dhar from RBLYF, a militant outfit unheard in Ri Bhoi district before but which came into existence immediately after the victory of the rich tycoon in the assembly election.

The CSWO (I) leaders alleged that the issue of threatening letter to Dhar is entirely staged by him so as to misguide the people and the government for getting better security covers as to ensure his safety and security in his business transactions.

Condemning the FIR lodged by Dhar against three persons who were actually not involved in the threatening letter, the CSWO (I) wondered how can the president and the general secretary of the RBYLG be so uninformed that they will not known the address of Dhar or for that matter those three people named by Dhar in the FIR lodged by Dhar and posted the threatening letter to three persons (Rangbah Shnong) who were not his supporters.
