SHILLONG: The UDP legislator Jemino Mawthoh has urged the Zonal Manager, LICI, Eastern Zonal Office, to set up an examination centre at Shillong.

In a letter addressed to the Zonal Manager, Mawthoh said that he was utterly disappointed when he learnt that in connection with the advertisement made for appointment of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAOs), in the annexure, the Centre of Examination in Shillong is missing.

“This is totally unacceptable and against the norm of the Govt. of India since all the capital cities of the States are covered”, Mawthoh said.

The legislator said he would appreciate if necessary action is taken from the official’s end so as not to cause undue inconvenience to the applicants from this part of the country.
