St Anthony’s, Ruprekha win in school cricket

SHILLONG: In a match of the U-16 Inter School Cricket Tournament, played between St Anthony’s School and Shillong Secondary School, the former won the contest by 24 runs.

St Anthony’s won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 106-6 in 20 overs, with Akash Dutta making 20.

In reply Shillong Secondary were bowled out for 82 in 18.2 overs. Saqib Hasan took 4-21.

The second match was between Ruprekha Parishad and Queenie Secondary Schol. After winning the toss, Ruprekha made 130 all out in 20 overs. Rajinesh Singh made 32 runs while Rohit Das took 2-9.

Queenie couldn’t come close to the target and were dismissed for 61 in 10.2 overs.
