NONGSTOIN: The HANM West Khasi Hills District has served a deadline of ten days to the District Selection Committee West Khasi Hills District to re- interview or re-evaluate the papers for the recently declared posts in the district.

This week, results for the recently concluded interview for the posts of milk collector, revenue enforcement checker, receptionist and gram sevika were declared. However, not a single candidate from West Khasi Hills was selected and all the posts were occupied by candidates from South West Khasi Hills.

HANM has cried foul over the selection and served a ten days ultimatum to the Committee to re-interview, re-evaluate the papers of the interview. They also demanded that the interview papers be shown to them.

Arphul Kharbani, president HANM West Khasi Hills District announced, “If no action is taken within ten days, we will not be responsible for the candidates’ safety once they are posted in Nongstoin”. He also threatened a district wide stir in this regard.

Kharbani added that it was not possible how not even one candidate from West Khasi Hills was selected in the interview when thousands had appeared for the interview. He alleged political interference in the selection process and demanded clarifications immediately.
